It started with Rock Bottom a few years ago. Rock had become "Woodlawn Fats" and was hosting a nice, low-key blues gig at Dave's Aqua Lounge on Sunday afternoons - the perfect way to end a weekend. Rock died (damn it). I was already hooked. Then I got a camera. I have taken several hundred pics of Cannon Quinn & Sandy Atkinson. I practiced on them at Dave's. My "Graphics Eye" took to it pretty quickly. I really like to shoot in clubs & small venues. The Tampa Bay area has a world-class collection of Blues Clubs & Blues Artists. Within minutes of my South Tampa home are 1/2 dozen great clubs. I can hear top-quality Blues any night of the week. I get to shoot players from all over the world, right here. Check out my Favorites. These are the photos that keep me coming back for more. I present these for their artistic value, without consideration of celebrity or favor.

About my photography I shoot with a Fuji S2 digital camera. I like to shoot close, usually with a 28-105mm lens. Black & white photography looks, and feels, and shoots differently than color. I like the difference. I use available light. I don't crop my shots. I like to feel the shot the way I took it. Sometimes I get a little artsy in Photoshop. |
